In Part 2 of our Letters to the Church series, Pastor Carlon unpacks Jesus’ letter to the church in Smyrna from Revelation 2:8–11. Smyrna was a wealthy city known for emperor worship, and the Christians there were under intense pressure to compromise their faith. Pastor Carlon draws a powerful parallel between their story and ours today, reminding us that the world still pushes believers to adjust their values. But just like the early church, we’re called to remain faithful—even through suffering — knowing that endurance brings blessing. This weekend we kicked off a brand new sermon series titled: "Letters to the church" — We dive into the opening chapters of Revelation, where Jesus sends personal letters to seven real churches—actual congregations with real people and real pastors. These letters weren’t just ancient messages; they were filled with purpose, correction, and encouragement, and they still speak to us today. We explore how Jesus introduces Himself with authority in each letter, reminding us that the Church still belongs to Jesus. It’s not about ownership by pastors or leaders — He is the Head, and the people are His. These letters served two purposes: to meet the immediate needs of those churches and to reveal seven types of churches that exist throughout history.

In the special Mother’s Day message “Mothers of the Messiah,” Pastors Jason and Caroline explore the often-overlooked women in Jesus’ genealogy. While Mary is known as the mother of Jesus, the Gospel accounts in Matthew and Luke highlight five other mothers in His family line — women whose stories are surprising, messy, and powerful. In a time when only men were typically listed in genealogies, God made sure to include these women. Their lives remind us that God uses imperfect people to fulfill His perfect plan. On this Mother’s Day, their stories still speak hope, faith, and redemption into our lives today.

In our May First Wednesday message, “When Doubt Knocks on Your Door,” Pastor Carlon shows how the enemy uses doubt to keep us stuck and disconnected from God’s truth. From Eve in the garden to Jesus in the wilderness, the enemy whispers, “Did God really say?” — and he still does today. While we can’t stop doubt from coming, we can choose what we feed. Pastor Carlon reminds us: feed faith, not fear. Doubt doesn’t make you faithless — it makes you human.

In this week’s message, we continue our Easter series “Red Makes White” with a powerful message titled “From the Crowd to the Committed.” Pastor Jason dives into John 6, where Jesus challenges His followers with a hard teaching about true commitment — one that caused many in the crowd to walk away. As Jesus shifts the conversation from miracles and meals to surrender and sacrifice, we’re reminded to examine our own motives and ask: Are we just part of the crowd, or are we truly committed?

This weekend we launch our brand new sermon series: Red Makes White, diving into the heart of the Gospel — God’s redemptive plan through Jesus. Inspired by Isaiah 1:18, this message unpacks the truth that while sin stains us deeply, the blood of Jesus has the power to make us clean. You’ll hear a fresh perspective on the seriousness of sin, the holiness of God, and the hope we have because of the cross. What Jesus did over 2,000 years ago still has life-changing power today.

In Part two of our sermon series "Going Viral", we’re reminded that the Gospel didn’t stop at us — it came through us for the sake of others. Saying “yes” to Jesus isn’t just about salvation; it’s about stepping into a mission. You were saved to go, to bring light into dark places, and to be a carrier of hope everywhere you walk. Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” This episode challenges us to move past comfort and into calling—because your story, your faith, and your obedience could spark a chain reaction that changes lives.

Though Jesus tells him not to say anything, the man can’t stay silent. He spreads the news, and the story goes viral—not because of reels or followers, but because of radical love. This moment was viral because Jesus saw the man, acted with compassion, and brought healing. He didn’t do it for attention or the crowd; He did it because He loved. And the man shared it because he had been loved. As we begin this series and prepare our hearts for Easter, let’s remember: love like Jesus goes viral — and it changes lives.
