The goal of the spiritually mature Christian is godliness — becoming more like God's nature and character, or "Christlikeness." It’s not about being a better version of yourself, but becoming more like Jesus. Godliness is a personal attitude toward God, expressed through actions that please Him — this is our devotion to God. As Christians, devotion isn’t just an activity; it’s an attitude rooted in three essential elements: The love of God, the fear of God, and the desire for God.
